112th: Singapore Literature Festival Opening Party
Join us Friday, October 10th, from 7-9pm for the Singapore Literature Festival Opening Party. This event will also feature a collection of writers on the topic of The Local Cosmopolitan. Attending are: Alvin Pang, Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan, Jason Erik Lundberg, Kirstin Chen, and Wena Poon, with introduction by Jason Koo.
Can a writer be both cosmopolitan in outlook and local in orientation? Marking the official opening of the festival, this reading showcases work that travels between home and the world. The reading is followed by a book signing and a reception.
Singapore Literature Festival is a community-led, grassroots event that aims to build awareness of Singaporean writing among readers, editors, and publishing professionals in New York; connect Singaporean and other writers; and offer a platform for regular readings of Singaporean and American literatures in New York during the rest of the year.
