112th: The Stand Up Poets Quartet

Please join us Tuesday, April 18th at 7pm for a special event with The Stand Up Poets Quartet for National Poetry Month.

Angelo Verga is former Director of Literary Events at Cornelia Street Café in the village.  His newest book is The Street in Your Head, YBK Publishers.  He was mentor to Len Belzer, and will be reading from his work, in fond memory of him.  Joanne Joseph, the “Mother Hen of the Beat Generation”, will read recent work, and selections from her chapbook Resonances, Finishing Line Press.  Norman Stock’s books are Buying Breakfast for My Kamikaze Pilot, Gibbs Smith. He is winner of the Peregrine Smith Poetry Contest, and author of Pickled Dreams Naked, NYQ Books. Martin Levine’s poetry has been anthologized in It Is the Poem Singing Into Your Eyes, and was finalist for the X.J. Kennedy Parody Award. All four are serious poets who are seriously able to make you laugh.
