When will my subscription start?
Sign up by the 20th to start the subscription for the next month, otherwise your subscription will start the following month.
How and when do you ship?
We will send your gift-wrapped book and hand-written note on the first of every month. We ship everything via USPS and we will email you a tracking number as soon as it is sent.
I want to send this as a gift, will the person know it is from me?
Yes. We will email a welcome message to the recipient and include a note from you. This lets people know you gave them a Book Culture Selects subscription. In addition to your personal note, we explain what they can expect from Book Culture Selects and how to contact us. This correspondence also gives the subscriber a chance to review his/her shipping information before we ship the first care package.
For gifts, can you send a welcome message at a specific time?
Yes. If you're ordering online, tell us when we should send the welcome message in the order comment field. If ordering in store, have the bookseller note when the welcome email should be sent. Our welcome messages are sent ahead of any subscription start date (i.e., we cannot send a welcome note after May 1 for a subscription starting in May).
Will I be billed every month?
No. With one flat-fee, which covers shipping, you are guaranteed to receive a book every month of the subscription spaced out over twelve months.
Will you add other subscription options?
Yes! We are always developing new ideas for subscriptions and plan to roll out new options once or twice a year. If there is a specific subscription you would like us to offer, email your suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org
What if I am not happy with a book?
If you are unhappy with a selection (or you already read it) simply email us to coordinate a return. We cannot cover return shipping, but you will be issued a flat monthly credit based on the program you’ve selected. To start the process, email us at email@example.com.
Can I change subscriptions?
Absolutely. If you decide that you want to try a different option, we are happy to switch your enrollment for future books.To start the process, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I cancel my subscription?
We are happy to work with you and can issue a store credit for any remaining books. To start the process, email us at email@example.com.
How can I talk to the bookseller in charge of the subscription?
We would love to hear from you! The best way to tell us what you thought about a particular month's book is to go to www.bookculture.com/selects-feedback. Your answers will help us make future selections more personalized. You can also connect with other subscribers or share your reactions to each book by using the hashatg #BookCultureSelects on social media (we are on Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, Litsy, and other social media outlets).
