112th: Kurt Boone's "The Skyscraper Shuffle"
Join us on Friday, April 10 at 6:30pm for a reading and panel discussion Kurt Boone's new book of poems, The Skyscraper Shuffle.
The panel discussion will include messengers from the popular courier industry who will discuss messengers in movies and television, urban messenger style fashion, track bicycle messenger culture and current working conditions for messengers. Invited panelists are: Ben Stewart, Asst. Professor NYU; Hodari Depalm, Checker Courier; Alex Hogan, Independent Bicycle Messenger; Corey Hilliard, Elite Courier / Bern Unlimited Athlete and Jay "Rocket" Ruiz, Quik Trak Couriers / Brooklyn Bike Patrol. Skyscraper will be available for purchase ($15.00) and the event will also include a free raffle for an Ortlieb Waterproof Professional Messenger Bag.
