Book Culture is thrilled to announce our new complete section of NYRB Classics! Join Edwin Frank, NYRB Classics series editor, along with some of the introducers, authors, and translators of titles in the NYRB Classics series on Tuesday, May 17 at 7 pm, at a launch party for the new NYRB Classics section.
Book Culture's mission is to represent as widely as we can the diverse output of the publishing industry -- the unique, the scholarly, the under-represented, the under-read -- and we can't think of a better publisher to partner with in this regard than New York Review Books. With new translations of foreign language classics and newly-back-in-print forgotten gems, nineteenth century novellas and experimental novels, reportage and belles lettres, tell-all memoirs and learned studies, established classics and cult favorites, literature high, low, unsuspected, and unheard of, the NYRB Classics Series represents a truly eclectic mix of fiction and non-fiction all under one colophon.
Our section will feature the complete series -- 430 titles -- and highlight some that we love in particular: The Door, Stoner, Mouchette, and To Each His Own, just to name a few. Book Culture will also continue to stock titles in the NYRB Children's Collection, NYRB Poets, and NYR Comics series.
