Columbus: Harper's Presents Carol Zoref

Please join Sarah Lawrence College alumni and Harper's Magazine for a reading and discussion with Carol Zoref '76, MFA '97 to celebrate her novel, Barren Island at Book Culture on Columbus this July 16th at 7pm!

Barren Island won the National Jewish Book Award Goldberg Prize for Debut Fiction, was on the 2017 National Book Award Long List, and was the winner of the 2015 A.W.P. (Associated Writing Programs) Novel Award. Carol is the Director of the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence. She is a fiction writer and essayist and is the winner of the I.O.W.W. Emerging Artist Award and finalist for the Henfield Award, American Fiction Award, and Pushcart Prize. Harper's Magazine Vice President Giulia Melucci '88 will provide an introduction. Attendees will receive a year's subscription to Harper's Magazine.

Carol Zoref is a fiction writer and essayist. She teaches at Sarah Lawrence College and New York University. She lives in New York City.
