Marilyn Stasio has been the mystery and crime critic for the New York Times Book Review since 1988. She was the 2019 recipient of the Raven Award from Mystery Writers of America for Outstanding Achievement in the Mystery Field outside the realm of creative writing. Marilyn is also a drama critic for Variety. Her books include Showtune a biography co-written with Broadway lyrist-composer Jerry Herman, and for many years she was a dramaturg at the Eugene O'Neill Playwrights Conference.
