Columbus: Natalie Silverstein on Simple Acts
Join us at Book Culture on Columbus on Wednesday, April 3rd at 6:30pm, as we welcome Natalie Silverstein for a discussion on her new book, Simple Acts: The Busy Family's Guide to Giving Back.
Teaching young children to be socially conscious, community oriented, and eager to volunteer seems like a daunting task, especially for busy families with children of varying ages. Simple Acts brings busy parents practical, easy-to-do ideas, to involve the whole family in volunteering and helping others in the community.
Natalie Silverstein, MPH, is the volunteer coordinator of Doing Good TogetherTM in New York City. She is a passionate advocate for family service, and is a frequent consultant and presenter to parents, faculty, students, and community groups on the subject. She has been a writer and editor for several nonprofits, and is a contributor to parenting blogs GrownandFlow.com and Mommypoppins.com. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Providence College and a Master's Degree in Public Health from Yale University. She and her family regularly make time to volunteer in their community.
