Authors Rivka Galchen and Heidi Julavits discuss the twin topics of Writing and Motherhood and Writing on Motherhood, hosted by Harper’s Magazine at Book Culture on Columbus (Manhattan). 

Rivka Galchen is a Canadian-American writer. Her first novel, Atmospheric Disturbances, was published in 2008 and was awarded the William Saroyan International Prize for Writing.

Heidi Julavits is an American author and co-editor of The Believer magazine. She has been published in The Best Creative Nonfiction Vol. 2, Esquire, Culture+Travel, Story, Zoetrope All-Story, and McSweeney’s Quarterly.
