A Marvelous Mexican Misunderstanding follows young Adri as he moves back to Mexico and discovers that everyone is getting ready to celebrate the Day of the Dead. New to the culture, and with the help of his older sister's cheeky behavior, poor Adri embarks on an unfortunate journey of misunderstandings around the holiday and what it actually means.

A Marvelous Mexican Misunderstanding is the first of a series of picture books from Worldwide Buddies, which are designed to introduce children to different cultures. The story is available on its own, or as part of A Marvelous Mexican Story Box, with additional toys, games and activities that bring Mexico's culture and the celebration to life.

Evi Triantafyllides is the author of A Marvelous Mexican Misunderstanding and the founder of Worldwide Buddies - an educational startup that creates colorful picture books, toys and story boxes with a mission to introduce little ones to the diverse realities and wonders of our world. These are specially designed to inspire play, spark curiosity and encourage skill development through fun, interactive activities. Evi has a BA in Geography from the London School of Economics (LSE) and an MA from NYU Gallatin, with a concentration in Creative Writing and Education. During her time at NYU, she worked in publishing and kindergartens, including the editorial department of Penguin Random House.
