Emily J. Levine is Associate Professor of Education and (by courtesy) History at Stanford University. Her previous book, Dreamland of Humanists: Warburg, Cassirer, Panofsky, and the Hamburg School, was awarded the Herbert Baxter Adams Prize by the American Historical Association.
Till van Rahden holds the Canada Research Chair in German and European Studies and is associate professor in the department of literature and modern languages at the Université de Montréal. He is the author of Jews and other Germans: Civil Society, Religious Diversity, and Urban Politics in Breslau, 1860-1925.
Jennifer Ratner-Rosenhagen is Merle Curti Associate Professor and Vilas-Borghesi Distinguished Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is the author of The Ideas That Made America: A Brief History.
